Naturfreundehütte Palfau

Eine Hütte, zwei Namen

You may call it Bergbauern-Lackneralm (if you can pronounce it) or you can call it Naturfreundehütte. It is a favourite with hikers and bikers alike. They come up here to 1,020 meters on weekends to enjoy the view across the Palfau village (and delicious dishes). This hut can accommodate up to 16 people on mattresses in a dorm and is also a great basecamp for all those who want to conquer the Gamsstein peak (1,774 m).

Stay over night

Although it is actually a rustic self-catering hut with dormitory accommodation for 16 people, the Lackneralm mountain farm becomes a stopping place for hikers and nature lovers at weekends from mid-May to mid-September.
